Having received the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award 2016, EcoStar Award 2014 and HKIA Young Architect Award 2010, Tony Ip is a community-centric, sustainable design architect and urban designer based in Hong Kong. In 2018, his passion and contributions to green architecture and the creative industry were highly recognized by receiving the Australia China Alumni Award for Arts & Creative Industry. In 2022, Tony received the Medal of Honour, HKSAR in recognition of his dedicated and valuable contributions to the promotion of environmental protection and conservation, particularly in promoting green architecture.
Tony's design and research were exhibited and presented in Venice, London, Copenhagen, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Tokyo, Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. He founded Tony Ip Green Architects Ltd “TiP” with a vision of advocating the paradigm shift to green architecture and biophilic urban-scape at the tipping of climate change.
Tony is a green building design expert, Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), Director of Zero Carbon Building, HKGBC Green Building Faculty, Chairman of BEAM Society Ltd. (BSL) Materials Aspects Expert Panel, Convener of Green Building Young Leaders for HKGBC, Convener of Green Building Products Taskforce for HKGBC, and Convener of BEAM Plus for School Projects Steering Committee for BSL. He is appointed a member of the Antiquities Advisory Board, Environment and Conservation Fund Committee, Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC), Lantau Conservation Fund Advisory Committee (LCFAC) and Support Group on Long-term Decarbonization for Council for Sustainable Development of HKSAR. He also acts as Chairman of the Environmental Education and Community Actions Vetting Sub-committee for ECC, and the Vetting Sub-committee for LCFAC.
Serving the community on a voluntary basis, Tony acts as Chairman of Hong Kong Architecture Centre, Director of YMCA of Hong Kong, School Manager of YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College and Advisor of several schools for new campus development.
Tony has demonstrated a flair for multi-disciplinary practices and academic studies in the building profession. He received his PhD from PolyU, BEng, MSc(Eng), MArch & MUrbanDesign from HKU, BBE(Arch) from QUT and MSt IDBE from the University of Cambridge. He is a green building expert with qualifications of AP(Architect), HKIA, HKIUD, PIA, BEAM Pro(NB, EB, BI & ND), BREEAM AP, LEED AP BD+C & ND and WELL AP. He is particularly skilful with interdisciplinary design collaboration for sustainable innovation. He acted as Deputy Director of Sustainable Design of RLP in 2010-2017 and his projects include ZCB the first zero carbon building in HK, VTC THEi Chai Wan campus, OPUS Hong Kong, Flat for Flat URA Kai Tak project, Xiqu Centre design competition, Energy Efficiency for Residential Buildings Study (RTTV & NV) and BEAM Plus Neighbourhood.

Andy Chan qualified as a Registered Architect and Authorized Person in HK in 2003 and 2007 respectively. Having worked as a Project Architect in-charge on a number of cultural and institutional building projects: (Primary Schools at Kwai Chung and Sham Shui Po and the St. John the Baptist Church and C&A Home at Tseung Kwan O), acquired solid experience with the government administrative procedures, specifications and the British Standards. Besides, he was also involved in design and coordination of an MTR (Subway) Station Connection with the basement compartment of a retail complex (i-SQUARE) project in Tsim Sha Tsui.
From 2011-2019, Andy worked on several institutional and residential projects including CIC Zero Carbon Building in Kowloon Bay, Xiqu (Chinese Opera Theatre) Centre in West Kowloon Cultural District and a few Residential Developments in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong. From 2019 to 2021, Andy worked in an in-house architectural department of a prospective developer in HK (Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency). He was involved in the preparation of some schematic Master Layout Plans of a few residential sites at the North rural areas of HK, mainly Stage 1 (Feasibility) and Stage 2 (Schematic Development). In July 2021, Andy joined TiP as Senior Associate.

Angelica is a registered architect and has been involved in various residential and institutional projects of different stages. With strong vision of environmental sustainability, she was accredited as LEED GA and was also the editor of the “Hong Kong Green Office Guide” published by Hong Kong Green Building Council.

Hugo has over 28 years of experience in statutory submissions. He was involved in Skycity Site A2 & A3 of Hong Kong International Airport, Phase III Campus of the Open University of Hong Kong, THEi New Campus at Chai Wan, Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel & ancillary buildings, and other commercial re-development projects in Hong Kong, Macau, and the Middle East.

Sarah graduated from Msc Advanced Sustainable Design at the University of Edinburgh. She is particularly interested in the adoption of passive strategies and natural elements in high-rise buildings as these are critical elements to bring Hong Kong a sustainable future.
Sarah’s interest towards sustainable design is starting from her undergraduate dissertation about formulating a sustainable heritage conservation guideline in Hong Kong context. In order to understand more various sustainable design strategies, she has taken a master degree course to broaden her horizons and accumulate more relevant skills including building simulation.
